Your right to change your mind in Utah
Utah law gives you 10 days after your policy is delivered to return it for a full refund, for any reason. If the policy replaces one you already own, that window extends to 30 days. The notice must be printed prominently on the front of your policy (Utah Code 31A-22-423).
Ken’s approach makes the free look a backstop, not your first real read of the terms: the illustration comes first, in plain English, before you ever apply — so by the time a policy is delivered, nothing in it should surprise you.
Ken’s home state — and why that matters here
Ken lives and works in St. George, so Utah is the one state where a kitchen-table conversation is genuinely on the table — Southern Utah families can meet him in person, and everyone else in the state gets the same plain-English help by phone or video.
Utah’s median owner-occupied home is worth about $545,200, and for most families the mortgage on a home like that is the single biggest bill their income covers. That’s why mortgage protection — coverage sized to what you actually owe, not a round number — is the conversation Ken has most often with Utah homeowners.
How working with Ken works in Utah
Ken Kaneversky is a licensed independent agent (NPN #22128544) — independent meaning he works with multiple A-rated carriers instead of selling one company’s products. The process is the same everywhere in Utah: a plain-English conversation about what you’re protecting, then a free personalized illustration built around your situation, then a decision made on your schedule. Phone and video cover every step; many carriers offer no-exam options.
For context as you size coverage: the median owner-occupied home in Utah is worth about $545,200 (U.S. Census Bureau, 2024 American Community Survey). For most families the mortgage is the single largest obligation their coverage needs to answer for — which is why illustrations start from your actual balance, not a national rule of thumb.
Consumer questions, license verification, and complaints in Utah are handled by the Utah Insurance Department. Ken will always tell you plainly which carrier an illustration uses so you can verify it yourself.
